The Newsroom spoiler: ?Unintended Consequences? might reveal what really happened in Africa

When The Newsroom premiered its second season a few weeks back, Maggie (Alison Pill) had a shocking new haircut, and Will (Jeff Daniels) tried to explain it vaguely by referring to her field time in Uganda.

The next episode, ?Unintended Consequences?, might just takes us back to that mysterious time and shed some light on what happened that would prompt Maggie for a drastic physical makeover.

The promo video starts with Rebecca Halliday (Marcia Gay Harden) introducing herself and starting her session with the question: ?Tell me about Africa?. The next few shots tease that Maggie witnessed something far more dangerous than what she intended to cover.

Meanwhile, Jim (John Gallagher) continues to rant about the complacency of the Mitt Romney journalists, with Hallie (Grace Gummer) listening ? probably figuring out if she made a mistake siding with him and getting thrown off the press bus.

Neal (Dev Patel) is denied access to a possible source/witness ? and while it?s not clear, it may have something to do with Occupy Wall Street, or Operation Genoa.

Check out the video below:

Here?s a brief synopsis released by the network:

Maggie tries to convince Rebecca that she is fine; a protestor refuses to cooperate with Neal and Jerry after an interview with Will goes poorly; Jim gets heat from Mac.
