BOSTON ? Singer Stevie B is disputing a claim he owes more than $400,000 in child support but says he's "moving forward" after being arrested and spending several days in a Massachusetts jail.
The singer was arrested Friday after performing at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.
On Monday, he agreed to a schedule of payments for approximately $420,000 in child support. After paying $10,000, he was released from jail Tuesday.
The singer tells The Associated Press he disputes the amount an Agawam (AG'-ah-wahm) woman claims he owes in support for their two daughters. He calls himself a "loving father" who's always provided for his children.
The singer's full name is Steven Bernard Hill. He lives in Las Vegas. He's best known for the 1990 hit "Because I Love You (The Postman Song)."
